Rachael Gock
12 years old young violinist, Rachael Gock is the Concertmaster of the Sydney Hills Youth Orchestra. She joined the orchestra in 2016 and has made significant contributions since then.
She is a very gifted young musician as remarked by an AMEB examiner on her AMEB Violin Certificate of Performance exam.
Quote a sentence of the examiner's remarks: "Your performance projected a warm and expressive tone, and expressive phrasing, in particular the slow movement of the Mozart Concerto. This moved along well, the phrases were quite musically shaped, supported by a good pitch and a variety of tonal colors. Stylistically well understood."
She has been learning the violin with Dr Koo for about 4 years and now is preparing her AMEB diploma exam.
Rachael is the Concertmaster of the orchestras of the SCO Youth Symphony - The Sydney Hills Youth Orchestra.
She received the Dr Koo Music Scholarship 2020 of $500 for her achievements and contributions to the Hills community in participating in the SYS activities.
The Dr Koo Music Scholarship 2020 is proudly sponsored by the Hills Shire Council.
