SUMMER TRAINING 2016

The SYS Summer Training is an annual event hosted during the school summer holidays each year.

It provides an opportunity to enhance musical absorption capabilities both technically and musically by a concentrated training within a week, and a concert.

Who can join: Any music lovers above the age of 8 and have been learnt orchestral instruments for about two years.
Dates: 4 - 9 January 2016
Time: 6:30 - 8:30
Venue: TLC Theatre, Baulkham Hills High School
Costs: $100

Membership Fee
All revenues (membership fees, concert ticket sales etc.) will go towards The SCO Foundation to be used to promote new music of the contemporary composers.
 
Membership annual fee of  $600 (for 4 school terms) is asked of each member for the Sydney Hills Youth Orchestra (SHYO), and $500 for the Sydney Hills Junior Orchestra (SHJO).

The fee is calculated in 4 school terms blocks for all members (e.g. if you join from term 2 of the year, your membership will be extended to next year term 1).

  2. Payments must be completed before the first rehearsal.  

You are welcome to join us at any time.

For young musicians joining the SYS Orchestras will need fill up your online Membership Registration From and send a short video recording of your performance via WeTransfer.

  • You will be notified with payment instruction should your application successful via email.
  • Successful members will have a website login account to access the Members Zone to download music parts.

All orchestra members require a formal uniform for concert performances.
